
This composite
image is comprised of 20 twelve megapixel images stitched together into one 70 megapixel image. The images were taken with a handheld zoom at a relatively low ISO, so focus is not as prime as it could be. We'll shoot another one in the spring on a tripod to sharpen things up (especially when you zoom in). The images were stitched together with the
Gigapan software, developed by Carnegie Mellon University and is the same technology that NASA used to stitch thousands of
Mars Rover photos together.
